The Board of Rabbis of Southern California serves the strategic initiatives of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles - Ensuring the Jewish Future, Caring for Jews in Need, Engaging the Community - by bringing together more than 320 rabbis representing the Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist, Reform and Transdenominational streams of Jewish life.

The Board promotes and enriches Jewish learning and living through programming and leadership in the areas of Community Learning, Professional Growth, Interreligious Action, Social Justice, Healing & Spirituality, Media Relations and Israel Advocacy.

Anat Hoffman Calls on Rabbis to Get on the Bus. Who knew that when the Board of Rabbis invited Anat Hoffman as part of its new Critical Issues Series – her visit would be so timely? Hoffman, who directs the Israel Religious Action Center in Jerusalem and is best known for her Women of the Wall group, spoke Friday to rabbis on “Two Jews, Three Shuls: Disagreement over Religion in Israel.” The seminar gave local clergy an insider’s view of the vitriolic battles over women’s rights in the Holy City. Sign Your Name, Give a Drash - Inclusion Awareness Month
February is Inclusion Awareness Month (IAM), part of a national effort to inform and raise awareness about members of the Jewish community with disabilities. IAM is led by the Jewish Federation in partnership with the BJE, the Board of Rabbis, JFS/HaMercaz and other community partners.
